Spoils of War by Aleksandr Voinov & Raev Gray

A nice, free, very short read. I'm not sure how many pages it was, I think about 20.  Achilleus dies on the battle field, he isn't afraid of dying yet he is somewhat surprised to find himself in a new surroundings.. He is brought to the gods home up above by Ares the god of War, much to his brother Hermes' displeasure, to be offered eternal life.

It's hard to refuse to such an offer, and it's also pretty damn hard to refuse a god! But what Ares doesn't see and won't understand with his godly eyes is the fact that Achilleus would give it all just to be with his lover - Patroklos - who recently went down in the blaze of battle. Yet how do you refuse a god? and who would or rather COULD help him out and get that the one thing he truly wants is the one he loves.

I enjoyed this one even though it was a bit TOO short and I would have wanted a bit more (especially at the end) yet this is what we got and it was well worth the story which was brutal and sweet at the same time.
