Blue Blooded (Lord and Lady Hetheridge #5) by Emma Jameson

Though these kind of mystery novels aren't my usual go-to, Emma sure is! I SO enjoyed this book. I LOVE Emma's writing, the way a serious situation can always become hilarious with the right inner joke. Tony and Kate are great together. Their interactions are so sweet to read. Though this book and series in general isn't ABOUT romance, they are still, as a couple, the main focus of the story.

Reclaim (Under My Skin #3) [Elijah & Kam] by Christina Lee

Sweet and endearing story of best friends to lovers. Sometimes when I read a book a certain word pops out and keeps reappearing in my mind. In this one it was TENDER. Everything about these two, the connection they shared and the way everything progressed was SO tender. It was the way they treated one another, the way things easily flowed into a relationship they didn't even realize they are sort of having. It's the low angst and the comfortableness (if it's even a word) you feel around someone you love and trust. Yep, Tender is the word.

We've met both Kam and Elijah in the previous installments in the series though it COULD be read as a stand-alone with a few glimpses into the lives of the other couple mentioned in the 2 previous ones which are also MUST READS just so you'll know :) Where was I? yeah. So, Elijah works at "Doggie Styles" a dog day care, pretty close to his best friends's bike shop "Spin Cycle".

Under Locke by Mariana Zapata

I LOVED this book and frankly I couldn't be more surprised about it! I DON'T read MC books. Though I love motorcycles I came to realize a while ago that them and me, at least in books, don't mix and yet this book though was NOT my usual 'cup of tea' was impossible to put down, drawn me in, sucked me into the story, and kept me interested every step of the way (even though it's WAY longer than I'm used to in "regular" Contemporary Romance novels). So yeah, I'm a fan :)

Iris Taylor lived a very difficult life. Through her father abandoning her mother with her little brother, through sickness she fought and won, and a sickness her mother hasn't. Raising her younger brother when they are left alone in the world just the two of them after her grandmother's passing as well. Lucky for her there is another fixture in her life - her half brother Sonny. They might share a horrible father who abandoned all of them, but mostly they share a kind of relationship many siblings wish they had. So now, with her younger brother in the army, finding herself with no job to support herself, Sonny comes to her rescue, offering her a place to stay and also a possibility of a job, if only she can make herself work for the grumpy and mean Dex Locke, a Motorcycle member like her brother (and their father) something she loathes by definition as well as an owner of a Tattoo Shop.

Holiday Escape (#gaymers #2.5) [Tristan & Ravi] by Annabeth Albert

This was sweet beyond words! I SO enjoyed getting more of Ravi and Tristan. It'll be Christmas soon and if there is something both of them are NOT excited about is spending it with their friends and their families. It's not that they don't like their friends it's more they want the time for themselves. They had enough of their own families as it is..

Love Connection (#gaymers #3.5) [Josiah & Ryan] by Annabeth Albert

This is another sweet and free novella of Josiah and Ryan - the couple from the third installment. I loved this one! It was sweet and endearing and since I enjoyed the book and didn't want it to end, getting this snippet of their future was simply a TREAT.

Connection Error (#gaymers #3) [Josiah & Ryan] by Annabeth Albert

I literally read this book in one sitting. It was simply OUTSTANDING! and not only because of the sensitive issue it tackles.. but mostly because if you told me a bit about the two MCs in advance I wouldn't see any way these two could connect, and yet, they were simply perfect for one another. It's not the "opposite attract" as we had in the previous one, it's what ACCEPTANCE is made of. These two just got each other and accepted the "limitations" they each had, the seen and unseen ones. After that SO MUCH is possible.

We've met Josiah Simmons in the previous installment. He is the jumpy ADHD guy. He is sweet and endearing, have some sort of a crush on someone at the office but he is mostly someone to have fun with, enjoy a LAN party. It's very hard to take him seriously, on the job and off the job though he is very good at what he does. Which is why he is now appointed team leader and has to travel to Germany to meet some of his new team. Things SHOULD have gone perfectly, or so he hoped, but it all started with one grammatical error..

Beta Test (#gaymers #2) [Tristan & Ravi] by Annabeth Albert

I enjoyed this one, but I gotta say it took me time to warm up to both characters. Ravi and Tristan are more than opposites they also dislike each other, it's a turf I have an issue with. When you spend time mocking someone turning upside down to loving them? it could happen but me personally I might keep a sort of a grudge.. just saying..

Tristan and Ravi started working at "Space Villager", a company developing an online role playing game. They couldn't be more different and not only because they come from a different background professionally, Ravi being a graphic designer and Tristan from accounting.  Ravi an open gay extrovert, always surrounded by friends and Tristan who couldn't be more introverted and also a closeted gay..

New Status Needed (#gaymers, #1.5) [Adrian & Noah] by Annabeth Albert

This was a sweet short novella, the cover is a huge spoiler.. It's not a "turf" I care for but getting more of this cute couple was a sweet bonus. Adrian and Noah have been a couple for a few years now (though Annabeth doesn't specify exactly how many) and they are about to experience a VERY special moment in their lives.

Status Update (#gaymers, #1) [Adrian & Noah] by Annabeth Albert

This was SO sweet and beyond that, it was such a touching story. I was waiting for Noah and Adrian to find a way to truly keep each other and I gotta tell you - it wasn't easy!

I haven't been reading lately. Too much on my mind and very little time to just relax with a book so in a way I "made" myself sit down. Didn't know what to expect because I forgot to read the synopsis and since I haven't read any book by Annabeth I was totally going blind on this one and I was just HOOKED! Realizing Noah was living in a Motorhome was such a funny surprise as I've been investigating the subject lately. I wish I could connect with Noah if only to get his input on the matter hehe

Noah have been living a very solitary and conservative life. He is a professor in a Catholic College, at the moment at a sabbatical struggling to finish an academic book. His only true connection is with his dog Ulysses. He won't admit to being lonely but he is. When Adrian sort of stumbles into his life he is the EXACT thing he needed. It's more than just companionship it's a chance at love, something he vowed to reject, living his life in solitude.

Change of Heart (Change of Heart #1) by Mary Calmes

My issue with this book is something you either REALLY mind or you don't. If I had to name it using just one word I think "destiny" might help out but it's not just it.. Reading PNR books you are usually presented with a lot of situations in which people are "destined" to be together and so their attraction is either OTT or there's this "click" between them they can't shut off and here they are - a couple. While I CAN accept that in PNR books to some extent I don't like it. Heck, the MC in this book doesn't like the idea of being stuck with someone because that's how the "laws of attraction" works so why should I?

Jin Rayne is a werepanther but he's not just ANY werepanther, he is destined to mate with a pack leader (there's a special name for that "destined job"). That's is quite bizarre considering he is male and pack leaders is male "job". What kind of pack leader would want a man for a mate? Jin does his best to avoid any pack leader not only to NOT stumble upon his destined mate but also because he has a certain appeal because of his special "destiny" that makes him likeable to right around anyone who meets him (human or shifter). Though it's nice having most of everyone on your side it felt a bit "staged" and very "fake". While Jin was trying his best to stay in the side lines, wherever he goes people just want him to stay and almost worship his strange appeal. When meeting other shifters with other "destinies" (other "jobs") it become a little unbearable for me. I understand that shifters are not a real thing.. but I would like the story at least to feel realistic somehow. Alas, it wasn't.
