If It Drives (Market Garden #7) [James & Cal] by L.A. Witt & Aleksandr Voinov

While I really enjoyed the previous installments in the series, this one wasn't a favorite. I'm not even sure I would have finished it if it wasn't that short. I feel as though this one was a bit different. It was more angsty and I didn't like (or believe) the relationship buildup between Cal and James.

Before I begin my review I should say that also unlike the previous installments I do believe it will be best to read as the last installment or all least after the 5th installment ("Capture & Surrender") since there is a specific mention of both Nick & Spencer (Market Garden #3-#4) and Frank & Brandon (Market Garden #5) and the place they are in as a formed couple.

Capture & Surrender (Market Garden #5) [Frank & Brandon] by L.A. Witt & Aleksandr Voinov

Wow. This book is by far my favorite in the series. It was heart breakingly beautiful! There were so many times I had the shivers, the whole story was just so tender and yet heart crushing. I just wanted everything to work out as best as it can while knowing it's not going to be easy / possible no matter what.

Unlike the previous installments which were "light" in the issues the couple were dealing with, this one had something WAY more serious that prevented Frank from pursuing his interest in Stefan (later on revealed his real name is Brandon).

Scorpion (Memory of Scorpions #1) by Aleksandr Voinov

Truth be told I didn't really know what I was getting into when I started this novel. I've read the synopsis and took it "as it is", without reading a lot of full reviews and taking to heart the classifications / genres of this series, though I'm not even sure if that's a valid point to why I didn't find myself engaged in the story.

First off, this series is totally in the Fantasy world, fighting with sharp objects, riding horses and all the great staff I remember from reading Fantasy (mostly as a teenager.. back then it was ALL I ever read, though it was on the childish side when I think about it now).

There You Stand (Between Breaths #5) by Christina Lee

This is SUCH a beautiful tender love story. I didn't know what exactly to expect, I actually read the synopsis now.. meaning JUST before writing this review and only so I"ll know how much can I say without spoilering ;) I LOVED it, loved everything about it. It was emotional without being over emotional, it was angsty yet it didn't feel angsty at all because every emotion expressed was placed just right. The only thing I can somehow complain about is we only got Cory's POV and I would have loved getting Jude's POV especially since all the mystery was from his end, not only his past but what and how he felt toward Cory.

Nick & Spencer (Market Garden #3, #4) by L.A. Witt & Aleksandr Voinov

I'm jumping into the next bundle in the Market Garden series, this one is of Nick & Spencer contains two novels: If It Flies (Market Garden, #3) and If It Fornicates (Market Garden, #4). These two, like with the other bundle can be bought separately as well as in this bundle.

I had my worries about this one, I"m not so much into BDSM, though I've read some great novels in the genre, I always feel like "threading carefully", not knowing what my reaction to it would be and how much the way the BDSM is portrayed will influence my overall feel of the book will be. Yet I can say I generally enjoyed this novel. I think I enjoyed the second one, from Nick's POV better in a way, but maybe I feel this way because in the first one we only got Spencer's POV and I REALLY wanted to understand Nick better, he was so reserved it was hard getting ANYTHING out of him, then the second one gave us his sole POV and it was beautiful to read and understand him better.

Tristan & Jared (Market Garden #1, #2, #6) by L.A. Witt & Aleksandr Voinov

The last I've read by Aleksandr Voinov and L.A. Witt was "Hostile Ground" which was an AMAZING novel but it wasn't the first.. First one being "Unhinge the Universe" which also left a huge impression on me and helped made the MM Romance genre one of my favorites.

Yet I wasn't sure what to expect from these short novellas.. Since both Jared and Tristan work as rent boys at "Market Garden" a club catering sex in any way the customer is willing to pay, I wasn't sure if we'll be getting a story and not just sex. But actually even though most of it WAS sex, the interaction between Jared an Tristan was beautifully done, giving us both their POVs yet concealing from each other their true wants and needs and by that only getting under each other's skin even more until there are decision to be made. I really enjoyed all three novellas. It was hot as hell yet we did got enough of a story in there.

The Shameless Hour (The Ivy Years #4) [Bella Hall & Rafael Santiago] by Sarina Bowen

Brilliant! I swear everything Sarina writes is GOLD! As you can guess from this sentence, yep, another amazing installment in the Ivy Years Series. While I wasn't sure about Bella from the previous book (well, she seemed kinda shallow..) and Rafe was kinda too sweet in the first chapter, that's might be my only misgivings, since after 5 minutes of reading I was shamelessly hooked! Now I can say that I truly adore Bella, she is a strong fierce woman yet she is still human with her own insecurities (not that she has many of them..). Rafe sure is the nicest guy you have ever "met" / read of, but his sweetness - the security blanket he wraps around Bella without her even truly realizing it, was beautiful to watch. He is so much more than meets the eye (I mean, besides his hotness ;))

Bella if you remember, you might not remember, you might be new to the series, and if you are, no troubles, you don't NEED to read the other ones in the series, this one can truly be read as a stand alone (but do yourself a favor and grab them ALL) is the manager of the Hockey team which is great in her opinion since she loves Hockey especially the lickable Hockey players, and she is actually really good at her job! She also loves sex, casual sex, and with all those damn good looking hunks there's lots to be have!

The Shadows (Black Dagger Brotherhood #13) [Trez & Selena, iAm & Maichen] by J.R. Ward

I'm quite reluctant to write a review about this book. Firstly because as usual with Ward there are a lot of plots to cover and also because this books is / going to be VERY controversial. There is something that happens in this book that made a lot of fans angry or even feel betrayed. I"m not going to say what it was, but if you are interested I"m sure you can find reviews with spoilers and even the author's explanation for "the did". I personally wasn't impressed with her explanation, yet she is the author and she can do whatever it is she wants! I'll get to that later.

This book has taken me quite a while to read. I'll admit that I haven't been reading a lot of PNR lately, and furthermore Ward has a very unique way of writing her male character and while I really enjoyed the series in the beginning (and some of the later books in the series) I'm starting to feel a bit saturated with the Brotherhood and their conflicts. So much happens in each book with so many POVs yet the general feeling is nothing actually happens when you look at the bigger picture or even if you look at the side characters (which take quite a lot of page space). So while I'll probably read the next one, I"m kinda glad it's going to be a whole year from now and not right away.

Finding Purgatory by Kristina M. Sanchez

This new book by Kristina caught me off guard. I've been waiting for a new book by her (had my "inside information" one was coming, sometime soon) and as usual the synopsis doesn't matter just the name Kristina was enough for me to order it the day it was out.

Granted it took me a week to get to it.. I actually had just two books before it - The two final books in the Cut & Run series by Abigail Roux, but with the Passover preparations and then becoming REALLY sick, it took me more than a WHOLE week to read these two. Well, here I am now finally with my sticky fingers all over my kindle :)

I read this book in one gulp. I did stop to eat and have a few conversations, but generally speaking, I started late evening and finished near 5 AM in the morning. I guess it shows how invested I was with the story which is a real surprise and no surprise at all. This book deal with one of THE big turn offs for me in books (and real life) pregnancies and kids. I can't blame the author or the book it dealt with something I find "not to my liking" but the beautiful thing about it, though I'm usually just NOT interested in books with these themes, I couldn't put this one down.

Crash & Burn (Cut & Run #9) by Abigail Roux

I can't believe I'm here, writing these words, preparing to sum up a series that left a HUGE impression on me, have been my first venture into the MM Romance genre which soon became one of my favorite genres. Ty and Zane (Especially Zane ;)) leaving you behind. God, I can't even..

Yet here I am.

Ball & Chain (Cut & Run #8) by Abigail Roux

I've been waiting for this one for sooooo long! I read the last one almost a year ago. Back then I got a recommendation for the series and read all of them one after the other. Then I got to the last one and I didn't know how I'm going to wait 10 months for the next one.

Cut & Run have been my first "real" MM Romance. The first being "Lover At Last" of the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J. R. Ward which is a Paranormal Romance and I think the author didn't intend for that book to "happen" anyway. After reading it my friend recommended this series to me I said - why not! I didn't know "what to expect" but since then I've read all Cut & Run series including Warrior's Cross and the first novella of the sidewinder and 4 more full books by other authors - I'm really happy I got a new favorite genre to read since I know I'm kinda problematic with the span of genres I'm into.
