The Wedding Date (Four Weddings and a Fiasco Universe) by Katy Regnery

This short novella is based on a character from "Four Weddings and a Fiasco" series by Lucy Kevin (aka Bella Andre). I haven't read this series (or anything else by this author) but I WAS into reading more by Katy and so I added this one to my list.

I gotta say it's not what I expected mostly because this one is sort of Young Adult novella in the way the characters were acting. I mean, he's 19 and she's 20 so basically this SHOULD have been more of a New Adult, but both characters FELT very young. They were SWEET, so so sweet, and endearing, and really deserving each other and to be happy but it also made the story a little bit, well, sappy.

The Hardest Fall (Roadmap to Your Heart #3) [Sebastian & Tate] by Christina Lee

This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE book of 2016. I connected with this book in a way I can't remember feeling in a LONG time. A good book, luckily, is not a hard thing to find, but a book you FEEL this way and understand on a personal level is something different entirely. It's also VERY personal for me so I can't "guarantee" you'll feel the same about it as I did, but I CAN promise you it's a GREAT book with beautiful unique characters, a bit angsty which is very understandable when you get to know the characters, so even if you're not into angst, it's so character appropriate I really enjoyed the whole journey and I'm sure you will too :)

Two Men Walk Into A Bar (at Christmastime) by Katy Regnery

This short novella brings two different characters together - Asher Lee from "The Vixen and the Vet" and Zach Aubrey from "After We Break". They are stranded together at the Los Angeles airport at Christmas eve, both wanting to be re-united with their wives - Savannah & Violet. The novella is told from ALL four POVs which was really cool! Though I just put aside Zach and Violet's story it's been a while since I've read of Asher and Savannah so I had a great time re-visiting them.

After We Break by Katy Regnery

These past few weeks were VERY busy, I had no time to read, but truthfully, there was something pulling me off this story and I wasn't sure what it was. Considering how tired I was most of the time, I figured it's just me not being able to concentrate enough to read. But at the point I am today I realize it's me not connecting AT ALL with Violet (the MC). I liked Zach A LOT, I totally get EVERYTHING about him and his life, but I just can't see it working between the two of them, I think Zach should find someone BETTER for himself, someone who sees him and appreciates what she sees and not keep looking for his flaws or how different he is from who he was and who she wants him to be.

Bittersweet (True North #1) [Griffin & Audrey] by Sarina Bowen

I'm a bit unsure of my feelings towards this one. Usually Sarina's books drag me under and I don't surface until I'm through. But this one was different, it took me a LONG time to get into the story and feel the connection between Audrey and Griffin. I was just sort of overwhelmed with the scenery and not in a good way, it actually GOT in the way. I've never been to Vermont (and probably never will..) but I got such a specific sense of the place and what it takes to be a farmer there (or maybe be a farmer in general though technically my family DID had a farm years and years ago). We get A LOT of details about what the farm in like, the work that needs to be done, the effort, not just physically but mentally, for a family to survive. While it did give this book a different kind of back story than I'm used to, it was also a  bit too much for me, at a certain point I wanted to get back to the STORY, and yet the farm was a part of that which couldn't be separated. At times I was a bit bored with it which made it difficult for me to be invested in the book.

Dark Sexy Knight (A Modern Fairytale, #4) [Colt & Verity] by Katy Regnery

Where to start.. The whole idea behind this book was so cool! I mean, how do you re-create the Legend of Camelot if not in a theater which brings exactly that! Colt is our "dark (and sexy ;)) knight" with Verity joining as a merchant with her brother helping out in the stables. Though I have never been to this kind of theater it really made me wish I could find something like that and go see it!
